General meeting of Russian Chemists Union at Khimia 2025

Khimia 2025 hosted the 8th General Meeting of the Russian Chemists Union.

The meeting takes place every five years and is an important platform for summarizing the work of the Union and defining plans for the future.

The meeting’s programme includes the report of the Union Council on activities for the period from October 2020 to October 2025, the report of its audit commission, and elections of the governing bodies of the Union.

The heads of industry associations, State Duma deputies, representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Academy of Sciences addressed the participants of the meeting with welcoming addresses.

Viktor Ivanov, President of the Russian Chemists Union, delivered the main report.

The members of the Union and all representatives of the chemical industry were invited to participate in the meeting: scientists, students, top managers, and other industry professionals.

In his welcoming address, Maxim Fateev, General Director of EXPOCENTRE, spoke about the important contribution made by the Russian Chemists Union to the Khimia conference programme and thanked for the help in organising different events.

“It is truly symbolic that the 8th General Meeting of the Russian Chemists Union takes place during the exhibition days of Khimia," said Maxim Fateev. “This is exactly the case when a strategic discussion is supported by real practice. We are discussing the development of the chemical industry based on what is happening in the exhibition halls right now. We see new products, technologies, real demands from companies, real negotiations and contracts. We can immediately relate the Union's decisions to what production, science and the market require here and now.”
