lab316 debuted at the show with its branded fully integrated equipment

lab316 showed its products at Khimia for the first time. The company has only recently entered the market but has already become one of the Russia�s leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnological equipment.

All equipment is made on the manufacturing site located in Nelidovo town of Tverskaya Oblast. The enterprise is mainly focused on manufacture of processing/productive vessels and reactor equipment for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries (https://lab316.ru).

“Production capacity of lab316 exceeds 120 reactors per year,” Denis Korkin, Sales Director, says. “The company has enough infrastructure potential and up-to-date facilities to maintain the fully integrated production of the equipment.”

Since its foundation in 2019, lab316 was offering the highly marketable equipment such as systems for production of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and specialty chemicals. We can produce both single reactors and integrated solutions.

We develop brand new processing equipment lines every year. As manufacturers of equipment, we are ready to deliver the firm engineering solutions meeting the customer’s technological objectives, sector needs and our partners’ expectations.
We came to Khimia led by the interest from the sector participants and having already implemented several important projects. We decided to test our equipment at this platform. As a result, our showcase received a positive feedback from the visitors. �

The showcase presents the real equipment which will be shipped to a particular customer afterwards and includes the systems for production of vaccines, sterile creams, and a circulation commercial thermostat.

Over this year, we have built up our production capacities and increased the range of implemented projects. Just a few years ago, these types of equipment were almost entirely supplied to the Russian market from the West. Using the company’s branded technologies, its own and peers’ experience, and based on Russian components, we created the equipment capable to replace the gone Western brands.

Innovative chemical products at Macromer stand

Lebedev Macromer Scientific Manufacturing Company is a leading Russian research and production enterprise specializing in the creation of advanced polymer solutions and the reproduction of products previously imported by foreign chemical manufacturers.

Spetskhimmash: innovations and export potential of industrial equipment

Spetskhimmash is a manufacturer of hardware for the oil and gas, processing, energy, metallurgical, chemical and many other industries. The company annually presents latest solutions for production of tanks, capacitive equipment, and heat exchangers at the exhibition.

“We take part in key trade shows such as Khimia and Neftegaz every year. We aspire to bring our standard equipment, which is in demand on the market. This year, our stands shows high-pressure reactors, a heat exchanger, and a stirrer. Visitors come and show interest every day of the trade show. Every trade show is good for us,” said Sergey Shleynikov, Spetskhimmash Commercial Director.

“We have a fairly large stand this time, which allows us to showcase not only samples but also operating equipment. The heat exchanger on display is a real order, which will be shipped to our client, the Uralchem chemical plant. The stirrer will be sent to the KAMAZ plant. I mean the products here have already been sold to clients,” continued Sergey Shleynikov.

� Speaking of this year’s results, how confident is the company today?

� There is a slight decline since last year, not just in our company but also in the industry in general. Still, the plant is doing quite well. It has orders until the middle of 2026, which is a good indicator. We have practically solved the personnel problem: we have good workforce reserves and competent specialists of various levels, such as designers, welders, and mechanics. Young specialists come to us right after college. We currently collaborate closely with our Polytechnic University. This is what offers us certain prospects.

� What plans does your company have for the near future? Will you be expanding production or entering new markets?

� Our plant is steadily developing. Last year, we opened a new workshop, launched a third production site, expanded our production line, and procured new equipment, including the one made in Russia. We attended a trade show in Uzbekistan, where we held productive negotiations with the Uzbek Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade. They are planning to build a ore-dressing plant, , and our production facilities were of interest to them. Our plant was recognized as an example of effective industrial development and export potential. This is a great honour and an incentive to move forward!

ETC Group strengthening position in chemical industry: opens new labs, launches Oleosintez plant, explores pharmaceutics

ETC Group is a regular participant in trade shows and annually presents a broad range of innovative chemical products at its stand. The company is rapidly strengthening its industrial potential, with two important laboratories focusing on mining chemistry and pharmaceutics opened this year alone.

“Every year, Khimia gives us a perfect platform for expanding business contacts and presenting our new capabilities to the market. In boost its strategic development programme, the company simultaneously launches two new high-tech labs in the fields of mining chemistry and pharmaceutics. As of now, ETC Group has nine cutting-edge laboratories. In addition, ETC obtained a pharmaceutical license in May 2025 and is ready to broaden its portfolio with licensed products. A new project called Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) has kicked off,” said Anna Lebedeva, ETC Group Advertising Manager.

“Another area, the development of which has evoked a keen interest of exhibition visitors, is the launch of the Oleosintez plant that provides deep processing of raw materials to obtain products with specified parameters,” continued Anna Lebedeva.

“The plant produced its first tonnes of products in March 2025. It specializes in the production of oleic acid, its salts, and other oleochemicals widely used in the construction industry, metalworking, detergents, and cosmetics. The technology is based on the hydrolysis of vegetable and animal fats, such as palm, sunflower, and pork. The process involves purifying raw materials, breaking down triglycerides, and separating fatty acids by distillation. Environmental friendliness is high on the agenda: the plant operates on a closed water cycle, and all byproducts are used in other industries.

“The following results had been achieved by September 2025:

construction was finalized and main production lines were launched,
industrial batches of new company products were made,
A ISO 9001 certificate was received.

“Key development areas include a broader line of products, the entry to foreign markets, and further integration of products in the ETC Group product portfolio, such as production of dry mixes, PVC processing, etc.,” concluded Anna Lebedeva.

Arina Kosenkova, Plant Chief Developer, added, “We have proven the quality of our products in the 100 Best Goods of Russia competition. Our next task is to broaden the range of consumers of enterprise products.

This anniversary edition was the first to take place at Timiryazev Centre in Chayanov, Vavilov and Nemchinov Halls as the show moved to a new venue. This opened a new page in the history of the main trade show of the Russian chemical industry. The change of venue did not prevent Khimia from maintaining its status as a leading business platform that brings together manufacturers, suppliers of advanced products and technologies, and consumers of chemical products from many countries around the world.

“Khimia was established in 1965 as part of a major programme for the chemicalization of the national economy. Last year the show became a platform for discussing current issues of the development and implementation of the New Materials and Chemistry national project for technological leadership. The national project has now been launched. It is time to evaluate the first steps towards the goals set, as well as to continue the constructive dialogue that has developed between government, business, and science.”

Show highlights

Khimia 2025 featured national pavilions of Belarus, China, India, and Iran. The Chinese display was especially large-scale as it offered products of 200 companies and was organized by the show’s long-term partners: the CCPIT Sub-Council of Chemical Industry and the CNCIC China National Chemical Information Center. The Indian pavilion was organised with the support of the Indian Chemexcil Association and presented 19 companies that demonstrated a wide range of chemical products such as dyes, pigments, industrial chemicals, additives, cosmetic ingredients, and laboratory equipment. The Belarusian pavilion was organised by a long-term partner, Belinterexpo (an exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), and accommodated 9 leading companies in the chemical industry of Belarus.

Russia was represented by 277 companies that demonstrated their products, services and new products. These companies included Alliance Energy, Dipaul-Production, UTS, State Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology, Orgzintez Group, Interchem, Kazprom, Kuibyshev Azot, Macromer, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Neftekhimmash, NIIPAV, Norchem, Polyplast, Pigment, Promcoat, Ruschem, Roskhimreactiv, Ruskhimset, Spektr-Chem, Spetskhimmash, Titan Group, Tobol, Tosol-Sintez-Invest, PhosAgro, Himprom (Perm), Ecroskhim, Eshelon, etc. 38% of Russian exhibitors participated in the exhibition for the first time. The 38%�of Russian exhibitors were newcomers to Khimia.

Industry leaders such as Pigment (KRATA), Ruschem, IMC Group, and MILLAB demonstrated the latest solutions for the paint, plastic, analytical, and energy industries. New products included the Deprovisium� 8U viscosity modifier (PVM) for hydraulic oils, tools for elemental analysis, specialised spectrometers, and process automation technologies.

Polyplast Group is the largest manufacturer of high-tech chemical products included in the list of backbone enterprises of Russia. This year, the company was the general sponsor of the show and received a certificate of the Khimia regular participant. The stand of Polyplast was visited by about 2,000 people. Its specialists held more than 300 meetings with partners and potential customers.

The pavilion of Stavropol Krai, organized by the regional My Business centre, became one of the hubs of business activity at the show. Stavropol Chemical Company presented advanced solutions for gold mining enterprises. The Stavropol Polymer Stabilizer Plant announced a new line of environmentally friendly complex stabilizers based on calcium and zinc salts. Elitservice strengthened its position and significantly increased its client portfolio by agreeing on supplies with new partners from the regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. During the four exhibition days, representatives of Stavropol companies held over 120 bilateral meetings at their stand.

Conference programme

This year, the Khimia conference programme included more than 30 events that covered the main areas of development of the chemical industry. The key topic was the New Materials and Chemistry national technological leadership project.

The key event of the programme was the Plenary Session on Technological Leadership in the Chemical Industry: Challenges and Accomplishments, which was attended by Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Maria Vasilkova, Deputy of the Russian State Duma, Viktor Ivanov, President of the Russian Chemists Union, and heads of different regions of Russia, representatives of science and major businesses.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade organised a series of events at its stand to discuss various aspects of the chemical industry. The programme opened with the Expert Session on Technical Regulation of Chemical Products: Forming Development Tools, where experts exchanged views on key areas of standardisation development in the petrochemical industry. Two more expert sessions took place on the first day of the show. The Expert Session on the Overview of the Catalyst Market in Russia was devoted to issues of the volume of the Russian market of catalysts for chemical, oil and gas chemistry processes. The participants in the Expert Session on Effective Foreign Trade Practices: How Exporters and Importers Cope with Challenges shared their experience in overcoming barriers to international trade and discussed logistics, customs regulation, certification, and access to foreign markets.

On the following days, the ministry’s stand hosted different events dedicated to HR policy in the industry and issues of training professionals for industry enterprises, engineering ideas and introduction of innovative solutions, engineering and reengineering in the chemical industry, prospects for the production and consumption of rare earth metals, issues of starting chemical startups, and issues of popularization of the chemical industry and chemical blogging in social media.

On November 11, Khimia 2025 hosted the 8th�General Meeting of the Russian Chemists Union. The meeting takes place every five years and is an important platform for summarising the work of the Union and defining plans for the future. The meeting’s programme included the report of the Union Council on activities for the period from October 2020 to October 2025, the report of its audit commission, and elections of the governing bodies of the Union. Viktor Ivanov, President of the Russian Chemists Union, delivered the main report. The heads of industry associations, State Duma deputies, representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Academy of Sciences addressed the participants of the meeting with welcoming addresses.

Khimia 2025 hosted an award ceremony dedicated to the show’s 60-year anniversary for partners and regular exhibitors. The representatives of several companies were awarded honorary certificates in recognition of their contribution to the development of the chemical industry and their long-term participation in the show. Among the awardees were leading chemical enterprises that have been demonstrating their achievements and innovative developments at Khimia for many years. The companies that reached the 60-year milestone together with the show were particularly distinguished as they are confirming the status of Khimia as the main trade show of the chemical industry with their regular participation.

The Career Laboratory guidance session took place within the conference programme of Khimia 2025. The event was organised by the Centre for Advanced Training and Retraining of Qualified Personnel in the field of New Materials and Chemistry at Tomsk State University with the support of the Russian Chemists Union.

The session became a launching pad for those who seek to build a career in the Russian chemical industry and high-tech manufacturing. Applicants had every opportunity to participate in real-time interviews with employers, receive advice on career paths, dual training, internships and corporate programmes from leading companies, meet with young professionals and recognizable industry representatives, and receive practical recommendations on the development of competencies in demand at the industry’s enterprises today. Schoolchildren, university applicants, students, and young professionals, as well as their parents, took part in the Career Laboratory.

KOYDA NOVA expanding product range, seeking new niches at Khimia 2025

KOYDA NOVA, based in Belarus, is specialising in the development, research and production of chemical components for various industries. The company has been participating in Khimia for several years in a row and has invariably attracted the attention of industry experts.

This year, the company\'s stand demonstrated a range of new products. Olga Loiko, Deputy Director for Quality, spoke about them:

“I would like to draw the attention of industry professionals to our calcium and magnesium stearate dispersions. They have already been highly praised by customers in our republic, Dobrush Paper Factory Geroy Truda and Amkodor-Elastomer. We hope that Russian manufacturers will also be interested. We are flexible enough to respond quickly to market demands. If we see a need for certain products, given our diverse production capacities, we can quickly diversify production, as focusing on a single product in the current environment is not entirely appropriate. Therefore, we are seeking new niches and working to address import substitution challenges.

“So we continue developing the odour absorber Koydasorb. This product is particularly indispensable in urban road construction. Its use neutralises the odour of hydrogen sulfide, benzaldehyde, dodecene, tetradecane, and other unpleasant odours emitted during the handling of bitumen and asphalt concrete. However, its applications are much broader. We have developed an innovative technology for producing this product, which we believe is quite interesting and promising. We are ready to refine it in accordance with customer requests. Our company is a research and production facility, and our in-house laboratory allows us to quickly refine our formulations.”

Denis Ionyak, Production Manager, added, “In our laboratories, we conduct multi-level testing of incoming raw materials and finished products. This allows us to be confident in the quality of our products and their compliance with all required standards. We have a highly automated production system, which eliminates human error and ensures that products are manufactured strictly according to the specified recipe.

“We are very interested in lean manufacturing right now. Here at the show, we participated in an interesting workshop on lean manufacturing and learned a lot of useful information. This topic is very important to our company, and all of us � from the plant director to every employee in the warehouse or production facility � are actively working on it.

“Khimia 2025 proved quite productive for our company. In addition to making useful contacts and meeting potential clients, we also participated in a number of very interesting workshops. We are taking home a positive outlook and a desire to return next year with new solutions!”

ZAVKOM-ENGINEERING demonstrates energy-efficient solutions for chemical, oil and gas industries

ZAVKOM-ENGINEERING develops and supplies turnkey high-tech, energy-efficient installations and equipment for the petrochemical, biotechnology, and food industries. The company\'s stand at Khimia 2025 displayed modern engineering solutions for the chemical and related industries and made an interactive dashboard demonstration of a completed installation in operation.

Alexander Solontsov, ZAVKOM-ENGINEERING IT Director, gave more details about ZAVKOM-ENGINEERING’s presentation at the show:

“Our company is the holder of the patent for the production of resins, formalin, and adhesive compounds. Due to the challenging market situation, a certain vacuum has emerged in formaldehyde production, so we developed our own technology and proprietary equipment that allows us to produce formaldehyde using our own process. The starting material for formaldehyde is UF-resins, which are used in the furniture industry for lamination, for all types of coatings, and in many other industries requiring a reliable adhesive.

“Our company also has the expertise to develop distillation, regeneration, and other units in both petrochemical and biotechnology applications. We can also manufacture vacuum evaporation units that operate on the falling film principle. This allows the product to be preserved, evaporated at low temperatures, and maximizes the units’ energy efficiency.

“Our customers are large companies, both domestic and international, including Gazprom, SIBUR, and others. We have successful experience in deliveries to neighboring CIS countries, such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan. We also act as auditors and provide the possibility for other companies to complete projects in accordance with our documentation.”

Tobol displays new solutions for chemical industry at Khimia 2025

Tobol, a leading player in industrial engineering in Russia, has expanded its scope of operations and partnerships with international manufacturers in recent years. At Khimia 2025, the company presented three types of equipment for various chemical production processes.

For 32 years, the company has been providing a full range of services to petrochemical companies: design, construction, installation, equipment supply from India, Iran, and China, as well as maintenance and repair. Maxim Glinsky, Director of the Separation Technologies Department, provided more details about the equipment on display.

- We brought three types of equipment to the show this year. This includes heat exchange equipment that is already well-known to market professionals. We are also presenting for the first time Iranian-made equipment that utilizes leading global laser welding technologies. Fully welded and semi-welded heat exchangers, capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 400 degrees Celsius, are widely used in numerous chemical and petrochemical productions.

We also present a model of a self-cleaning pipeline system. This is a unique technology that helps customers in the chemical industry and beyond maintain clean pipeline interiors. This is especially important for various chemical production facilities prone to fouling, and where access to cleaning by personnel is limited for various reasons. This technology also enables the transportation of different types of products through the same pipeline systems, which is undoubtedly more cost-effective than developing separate pipeline systems for each type of product.

Another exhibit is a high-speed disc separator manufactured in India. Separation is a fundamental technological process required in all industries involving processing. This separator is a worthy replacement for brands such as Alfa Laval and GEA Westfalia, which have left our market. These three products � the Indian separator, the Chinese self-cleaning pipeline system, and the Iranian heat exchanger � represent our new trend of products from partners in friendly countries.

Each of these countries has its own cultural characteristics and business practices that must be taken into account. To effectively address cooperation challenges, we have created a strong and capable foreign trade department that allows us to work effectively with these partners while taking into account their cultural and national specifics.

Before concluding cooperation agreements with new manufacturing partners, we always organise business missions, conduct inspections and production audits, meet key decision-makers, and build long-term, mutually beneficial relations.
