Anton Alikhanov sends welcome address to Khimia 2025
Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, has sent a welcome address to the organisers, exhibitors and visitors to the 28th edition of the International Exhibition for the Chemical Industry and Science – Khimia 2025.
“This year, the exhibition celebrates its 60-year anniversary. It is safe to say that throughout its history it has consistently served as a pillar for the development of the Russian chemical industry. Khimia was launched in 1965 as part of an ambitious programme for the chemicalization of the national economy. Last year the exhibition became a platform for discussing relevant issues of the development and implementation of the New Materials and Chemistry national project for technological leadership,” says the minister.
Anton Alikhanov adds that now that the project has been launched, it is time to evaluate the first steps towards the goals set, as well as to continue the constructive dialogue that has taken place between government, business and science.
“I am confident that the anniversary edition of Khimia will once again serve as a platform for productive discussion and expansion of cooperation, as well as for developing strategic solutions, demonstrating innovative products and advanced technologies. The first edition of the exhibition contributed not only to the conclusion of contracts between the USSR Ministry of Chemical Industry and foreign enterprises, but also to the demonstration of achievements of the chemical industry. This tradition will be continued by a number of events in the conference programme of Khimia 2025 with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Their aim is to promote the industry, primarily among young people, and attract new employees,” concluded the minister.
Khimia 2025 will be organised by EXPOCENTRE AO at Timiryazev Centre from 10 to 13 November 2025.
