Small business at Khimia 2017
Small business in the modern chemical industry will take a special position in the exhibition and its supporting program of the 20th edition of the Khimia international exhibition for chemical industry and science which is to run on 23-26 October 2017 at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
This major trade show of chemical developments with participation of about 400 leading Russian and international companies will first feature a special exhibition of Russian startup projects in chemistry and chemical technologies Startup Chemzone.
Here we create favourable conditions for demonstration of pilot projects of Russian developers and effective interaction of key players of innovative activities united by common interest that is creation and implementation of the latest Russian technological solutions.
The Khimia participants are small innovative companies which will present promising developments from prototypes to finished products. The scope of their application is broad, e.g., chemical industry, petrochemical industry, chemical engineering, industrial biotechnology, green chemistry technology, waste recycling and utilization, corrosion protection, engineering and production automation, analytical and laboratory equipment, software and IT, nanotechnology, and other areas.
Startup Chemzone will provide a unique opportunity to small companies generated from business incubators of technology institutes not only to showcase their developments but also meet investors and key market players and establish contacts with them.
Expocentre organizes Startup Chemzone with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The letter of the Minister of Industry and Trade addressed to CEOs of small businesses which are potential participants of the project says that Startup Chemzone is aimed to promote commercialization of Russian innovations and assist innovative companies, residents in tech parks, startups of business centres on issues relating to promotion of the products to the market, fund raising and effective integration in the Russian business community.
It is important that participation in the Startup Chemzone project is on preferential terms. The last day of participant registration is the 10th of October.
Supporting program
The issues of small business support and development in chemical and petrochemical industries will be discussed at business sessions and seminars held by leading experts at Khimia 2017. The events are organized by Small Business of Moscow state agency.
On the first day, October, 23, business session on Horizontal Exchange of Experience as Search for the Most Effective Way to Solve Business Problems will be organized for CEOs of small companies. The experts will demonstrate an effective way of sharing experience in small groups. All participants of the business session will be engaged in discussions and get solutions to their current business problems.
On the following days:
- expert session on Advisory Support of Entrepreneurs devoted to the issues of sales, marketing, staff recruitment and management,
- seminar on Funding Instruments and Government Support of SMEs Operating in Moscow,
- seminar on Opportunities Offered by Moscow Technoparks for Chemical Manufacturing Facilities
Firsthand information received by attendees will be of practical value in the development of their businesses and new products to the market.
