Experts discussed support of Russian exporters at Khimia 2017

25 / 10 / 2017

During the Khimia International Exhibition, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian Export Center AO and Expocentre AO held the Consulting Session on Russian Export Center: Tools for Promotion of Export of Chemical Products.

The session was moderated by the Chamber’s Vice President Vladimir Dmitriev. He noted the importance of holding such events during the largest trade shows of Expocentre. Their participants are already working on exporting their products abroad. The aim of the sessions is to inform both exhibitors and visitors about support measures provided by the Russian authorities to those who export products made in Russia. It is very important because one of the problems of the current Russian business is the lack of information.

Deputy General Director of Expocentre AO Nikolay Gusev said, “We are happy to see these sessions at Expocentre Fairgrounds. We will continue to create the best environment for such meetings.”

According to Deputy Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Timber Processing Complex of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Aleksandr Orlov, Russian chemical enterprises have large export potential. Production of chemical products is growing, and their export exceeds import. He also noted that the Ministry works closely with the Russian Export Center to support Russian exporters.

Representative of the Russian Export Center Elvira Chernysheva talked about many support instruments for export projects provided by the Russian Export Center Group, which together with the Russian Export Center includes the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), and Roseximbank. The Group offers Russian exporters insurance and credit support. Roseximbank gives credits to participants of export related agreements, including foreign buyers of Russian products.

Non-financial support is also very important. The Russian Export Center offers a number of services. First of all, it is analytical support including assessment of export potential and risks the companies may face when entering foreign markets. The Center’s experts create pools of potential foreign clients, check business reputation, arrange events and business missions in Russia and abroad, help with customs clearance and logistics, and offer many other export related services.
