17 / 09 / 2019

The supporting program of the Khimia 2019 International Exhibition for Chemical Industry and Science featured a consultation session "Russian Export Center (REC): On Tools of Export Support of Chemical Products". It was organised by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian Export Center AO, and Expocentre AO.

The session was moderated by Director of the Department of Exhibition, Trade Fair and Congress Activities of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Selivanov. He emphasised that the chemical sector was an essential part of the Russian manufacturing industry. The Russian chemical sector has four main advantages compared to chemical industries of other countries. They are raw materials, price competitiveness, demand, and government support. The latter, for instance, is implemented with the help of Russian Export Center.

"Such consultation sessions at Expocentre's trade shows have become a tradition," said Deputy Director of Expocentre AO Vladimir Gubernatorov. "It is already the fourth session at the Khimia exhibition. The first session took place in 2016."

Marketing Director of REC School of Export Artur Lyaschenko elaborated on opportunities and various forms of education who wanted to work for export. "Education is critically important since exporters will not be able to make use of the REC extensive toolset if they do not know how it works," said Artur Lyaschenko.

Head of the project supporting the export of consumer goods Maksim Chapov told in detail about the REC tools for exporters.

In conclusion, the speakers answered specific questions of the session participants.
