Expocentre hosts a set of chemical trade shows

A set of chemical trade shows - Khimia'2013 International Exhibition for the Chemical Industry and Science, specialized exhibitions Chemmash. Pumps'2013 and Chem-Lab-Analyt'2013, and Plastics Industry Show'2013 - opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds on 28 October 2013.

This year, the exhibitions have attracted 563 companies from 24 countries including 350 Russian manufacturing plants and companies. The show floor of the exhibitions has made up 9,500 sqm (net).

 

 

At the opening ceremony, the exhibitors and visitors of the shows were addressed by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. He noted that high exhibitor attendance would make it possible to see the latest and most advanced chemical technologies. According to the Minister, this year's shows are unique in that they place a special focus on environment protection. This is a prominent theme of the exhibition display and of numerous round-table discussions, symposia and conferences.

Mr Manturov added: 'The exhibitions are also a platform where we will present our Draft Strategy for the Development of the Chemical Industry to 2030. This document sets out essential indicators, trends, for the development of the sector for the coming 20 years'.

 

 

President of the Russian Union of Chemists Viktor Ivanov emphasized that Khimia'2013 had exceeded the performance of the previous edition.

Welcoming the exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition, Sergei Bednov, Director of Expocentre ZAO reminded the audience that the Khimia international exhibition has been held in Moscow since 1965 and it is one of the most reputable industry events in the world. He added: 'Khimia was among the first national trade shows to get the Approved Event Logo of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). Its high international reputation is also proven by the certificate of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
