The International Chemical Assembly Discusses the Development of Russia’s Petrochemical Industry

The 3rd International Chemical Assembly – ICA’2010 – hosted a conference Russia’s Petrochemical Industry: Strategic Targets and Development Principles.

The conference had been organized by OAO NIITEKHIM with the support from the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, the RF Ministry of Energy and the Russian Chemists Union. Over 150 delegates from governmental and non-governmental institutions, as well as the heads of industry associations and higher educational institutions took part in the event.

The conference featured a discussion. Among the speakers were representatives of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Chemists Union, OOO Sibur, OAO Lukoil, ZAO FosAGRO AG, OAO VNIIPIneft, Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and other research and production institutions and companies.

The views and opinions expressed during this discussion will be used to devise a Development Strategy for the Petrochemical Industry to 2030.
